Preparing for a divorce
Before contacting an attorney for your divorce, we recommend taking the below steps to ensure that the divorce process is as efficient as possible:

First, make a list of all of the property (including residences, cars, etc.). Determine who purchased the property; whether the property was purchased before or during the marriage; and the value of the property;

Next, make a list of all of the accounts (including checking, savings, retirement, etc.) held by your or your spouse and determine the balance of those accounts; and

Next, make a list of all of the debts held by you or your spouse.
